Standard Ukulele Tuning

The most common ukulele tuning is G-C-E-A, also known as "C Tuning". The G string is typically tuned higher than the C string (re-entrant tuning), giving the ukulele its characteristic happy sound.

Tips for Tuning

• Stretch your strings: New strings go out of tune quickly. Pull them gently to stretch them out.
• Tune up, not down: Always tighten the string to reach the pitch. If you go too high, loosen it below the note and tighten again.
